What
is PDF? How do you use PDF files?
|
PDF
stands for Portable Document Format.
Developed
by Adobe, PDF files are viewable and usable across many different
platforms.
You can read and print a Macintosh generated document from your
Windows-based machine.
Font
and graphic information is embedded in the PDF file.
PDF files are based on PostScript, so they print well on almost
all printers.
PDF
is the format used by the Federal Government for online versions
of the Federal Register and online copies of tax forms.
Adobe
has a free PDF reader called Adobe Acrobat Reader which will allow
you to use PDF files.
